By Bruno Ferrari, Executive director

Dear friends, colleagues and partners,

It is with pride that I present the annual report for a year marked by the pandemic and the many hazards that have shaken our organization over the months. The chaotic environment forced us to deploy dozens of adaptation measures, the inventory of which could occupy the twenty pages of this report. The number of the activities carried out to protect our living environments are to the credit of our teams who, despite the concerns that everyone was experiencing, were able to keep their cool and maintain the focus on the quality of services and safety. users.

The pandemic and its consequences have highlighted the vulnerability of our societies and the most fragile people in our communities are those who have been the most affected. These very specific conditions have led to a sustained demand for our services and our programs, all the more so as many structures have reduced their own reception capacity in order to meet the requirements in terms of physical distancing and other protective measures. people.
To continue welcoming and supporting our beneficiaries in their various projects, our employees have shown exceptional courage and resilience. During the storm that followed the uncertainty of the spring, our colleagues expressed their doubts and suggested adjustments that were quickly implemented by the managers.
Clients have also made significant efforts to adapt, and they should receive their share of congratulations because, on the whole, everyone has respected the new practices, despite often impromptu updates. To all of you, thank you for your commitment and your efforts. More trials lie ahead and I have full confidence in our ability to overcome them together with courage!

Several partners and donors have maintained and even stepped up their support. The various levels of government have taken many measures that have kept our heads above water for some of our services. Unfortunately our multi-functional bed unit could not withstand the pressure of COVID-19.

However, this year saw the acceleration of certain social housing projects, which should result in an impressive inventory of 110 housing units by 2021.

I reiterate my sincere thanks to our members, our collaborators and the many partners of Vilavi who honor us with their trust and their constant support.
