Vilavi Québec manages 125 social housing units with community support in downtown Montreal in collaboration with the City of Montreal, the Société d’Habitation du Québec (SHQ) and the Office Municipal d’Habitation de Montréal (OMHM).
To carry out these projects, Vilavi also calls upon the following partners: Atelier Habitation Montréal (Technical Resource Group, non-profit organization, responsible for the design), the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center of the South-Central part of the Island of Montreal (Community Support Funding), the Office Municipal d’Habitation de Montréal (Public organization, operating partner). The natural partnership with the community organizations network allows for recruitment activities.
Dans la phase de réalisation, les locataires présents dans les immeubles se voient offrir un soutien à la relocalisation afin de réaliser les travaux. À la livraison de l’immeuble, ces mêmes locataires peuvent demander à revenir dans le projet qui, en plus d’offrir des unités rénovées et mises aux normes de la SHQ, leur permet d’accéder, s’ils sont admissibles, au programme de supplément au loyer (PSL) qui leur garantit un loyer plafonné à 25% de leurs revenus.
- August 2020: Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante and Robert Beaudry, the executive committee member responsible for real estate management and planning, housing, major parks and Parc Jean-Drapeau, are proud to announce that the City of Montreal will assist the Vilavi Québec organization in the development of a rooming house in the Ville-Marie borough.

- August 2024: After a long period of plans and specifications,the call for tenders by invitation pour la démolition et reconstruction de l’immeuble est lancée.
- April 2025: Demolition and reconstruction work begins. Delivery is scheduled for August 2026.
April 15, 2025 – Kick-off meeting bringing together representatives of: Vilavi, GRT Atelier Habitation Montréal, Groupe ECG general contractor, 2Architectures, the City of Montreal, Poincaré Experts-Conseils, building structural engineers.
